Violinist Sylvia Geczy started her music studies in 1981 in the State Music School of Eger. As a very talented pupil she was accepted into the Bela Bartok Secondary Music School in Miskolc in 1988. She received her teaching degree from the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in 1996. Sylvia took part in several chamber orchestral trainings, and international symphonic orchestral courses. After graduation she started to play as a second leader in the Opera Orchestra of the Hungarian National Theatre in Miskolc, and taught in the Fazekas Music School. From 2000 she played in the Dohnanyi Symphony Orchestra in Budapest in Hungary, led her own string quartet, and taught in the Weiner Music School. She has been on tour in Europe many times. She played with orchestras in Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Italy and England.
